Fall 2009 Registration is now open
Fall Season soccer registration is open beginning 5/29/2009 and will close 7/20/2009 for age groups U8 and above in order for teams to be formed and all completed prior to season start in late August. We will be accepting registrations for U5/U6 age players up until 7/31/2009.
Registrations are now being accepted for recreational players in all age groups. Clicking on the 'Register Now' button below will take you to our registration portal where registration and payment can now be completed electronically. We will only be able to accept registrations in this manner so that we can expedite the process and capture all necessary information for each player. Competitive players will also be able to register online once tryouts have been completed and results have been posted. We look forward to seeing you in the Fall!!!

ATTENTION COMPETITIVE PLAYERS
Please register online as soon as possible by clicking on the 'Register Now!' button and going to the CBS/Blue Sombrero registration portal.
First-time users of the online system will need to create an online membership in order to register players:
- Go to the CBS/Blue Sombrero registration portal by clicking on 'Register Now!' which will open a new browser window.
- Click on the Register button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

- Fill in all required fields and enter a username and password. The Primary Contact information is where most of the correspondence from the club will be, so it should be the parent/guardian's information. Your username must be entirely unique, so keep trying different letter/number combinations if your first one is not allowed.
- You will receive an email notification with your username and password once your account has successfully been created.
- Remember that you will only need to use this one account for any future registrations or for the registrations of more than one child.
- Use the 'Add Participant' function to add players to register to your account.
- Once player information has been added click the 'Register Now' button on the registration portal.
- Select the 2009-2010 Competitive Soccer Registration Division.

Our friends at the Sports Zone Athletic Complex are offering a series of indoor soccer camps throughout the summer conducted by Jason Cope, CBS Competitive Coach and Assistant Coach at Merritt Island High School. The camps are for ages 5-8 and 9-13, 9 AM to 12 PM, Monday through Friday, and are $80 per week for each child.

Brevard Soccer Hurricane Classic

August 22 - 23 - Merritt Island, FL
Central Brevard Soccer in association with Lotto will be hosting the Brevard Hurricane Classic for all U9-19 boys and girls teams affiliated with FYSA, US Club or any other USSF affiliates. In addition, State Cup and Regional Cup Divisions will be offered for U9-10 playing 6v6, U11-12 playing 8v8, and U13-19 playing full 11v11.

2nd Annual Central Brevard Soccer 3v3 Challenge
U13 Competitive Champions - Predators
The 2nd Annual Central Brevard Soccer 3v3 Challenge was held at Mitchell Ellington Park on June 6-7 with the support of Challenge Sports. The tournament saw a substantial increase in participation from the inaugural event with over 70 teams entered this year from all over the state of Florida. CBS would like to thank the players, coaches, referees, parents, and all of our CBS volunteers for a very successful weekend of 3v3 soccer.

2009 Disney's Memorial Day Soccer Shootout
Brevard United U9 Champions
Brevard United U9 won the 2009 Memorial Day Shootout at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Competing in the U9 Cup Division the team started play with a 1-1 tie against Pinecrest Premier Blue. United came away with a well deserved win against RSL Academy AC Milan by a score of 3-2 and closed out group play with a 3-0 win against Players Eagles. Facing a tough opponent in FSA Kraze Academy United battled to take their semifinal 6-4 and a chance to once again play Pinecrest Premier Blue which had defeated Doral Soccer Premier in their semifinal 3-2. In the final the team kept up their winning ways by shutting down Pinecrest and taking the championship 2-0.

2009 BYSL Competitive Playoffs
Brevard Cyclones U9 Champions
The U9 Brevard Cyclones closed out their 2008-2009 campaign by winning the BYSL Competitive Playoffs. The Cyclones defeated the Titusville Lunachicks 2-0 in the semifinals and MEGU Fusion in the finals by a score of 4-1.
Congratulations to the girls & Coach Celeste for a very successful year.
12th Annual Palm Bay Spring Challenge
Brevard United U10 Champions
The U10 Brevard United Boys took National Division top honors at the 12th Annual Palm Bay Challenge on May 1-2, 2009. United opened group play on Saturday winning 7-3 against First Coast Academy '98-99 Blue and taking the second game with Tsunami Rip Curl convincingly 15-0. By winning their group, United faced a determined Wellington Wave Blue in the National Division semifinals and prevailed 4-1. In the finals the team completed a perfect run by defeating Wellington U10 White by a score of 6-1.

12th Annual Palm Bay Spring Challenge
Brevard United U9 Champions

The Brevard United U9 boys placed first in last weekend's Palm Bay Spring Challenge going undefeated throughout. The boys opened up play against a much bigger and faster First Coast Academy 99-00 Red, and came away with a 1- 0 victory on a follow up goal by Tyler Figueroa. In the second game of the day, Brevard United beat MEGU Fusion by a score of 3-1 on goals scored by Vetea Boersma, Tyler Figueroa, and Karson Barrett. In the final game of Round play Sunday morning the boys beat Palm Bay Fire 99 by a score of 2-1 with two goals by Daniel Gerondidakis. In the championship match with MEGU Fusion, Brevard was down early 1-0, but fought back to tie the game and take the lead 2-1. With one minute remaining in the game MEGU scored and the game ended in a tie forcing penalty kicks. Playing goalie for Brevard, Avery Mills was able to force MEGU into two early misses in their penalty shots while Brevard came away making every one on shots by Noah Andronescu, Karson Barrett, Dylan Black, and the clincher by Vetea Boersma.
